Will Backes make Olympic team?
I'm betting that he does. Here's a USA Today story on the former MSU All-American. Before Backes' breakout season, I interviewed Brian Burke, who is the U.S.'s general manager, and he loved Backes then.

I saw him at the Woodridge IL camp and he looks worthy.
More younger players/amateur should be participating. Just look at 1980. Would be great for the sport. Younger USA players in the Olympics would certainly build more youth interest.
