Zach Harrison scored the only goal for the Mavericks. Anchorage opened up a 3-0 lead on goals by Jade Portwood, Tommy Grant and Kevin Clark and added an empty-netter by Grant in the final minute.
The Seawolves had a 25-22 shots-on-goal advantage. MSU goalie Kevin Murdock took the loss.
Minnesota State isn't the only team to have trouble on Saturday night in Alaska. The Seawolves also defeated North Dakota and Denver to force series splits this season.

Glad to at least pick up one win. The biggest concern I still have for this team is the powerplay. 1 for 7 Friday, 1 for 6 Sat. If you don't score on the powerplay we will not consistantly win. Time maybe to let all new guys try the powerplay. They might just surprise us. It can't get much worse.
Shane sounds like the Mavs really found their scoring touch on Friday night with Andrew Sacrkison breaking a leg is he out for the season then? Yikes!
I agree with larger than life. If it is broke, let some new personnel fix it. There are plenty of guys with PP experience/success while on previous teams, give them a try!
Goon, I'd guess six weeks to heal, then who knows?
So he would be out of the line up till after X-mas.
