Minnesota turned the tables on the Mavericks Saturday night, jumping out to a 3-0 lead and winning 6-2.
Tyler Pitlick scored two goals for the Mavericks, who seemed quite frustrated after the game, especially with the inconsistence from Friday's 3-1 victory on the road to a loss in front of more than 5,000 people in their home rink.

Well now we have our non-conference games to work on things a bit and maybe get some consistency.
Plus, even after the Gophers and Bulldogs series, we still haven't played the best team in MN at the moment... next weekend, I hope some of you get a chance to make the trip up to the John Glass Fieldhouse for one final Mavs/Beavs series there before they move to the new arena.
what about shaking up the line-up?
When will MSU go back to trying to stop the 'f' the gophers chants? It does nothing to inspire the Mavs and likely has the opposite effect and gets the opponent going. It is also not acceptable from the perspective that MSU is also trying to market the team to families with kids, etc. Very bush league.
What MAVFAN said, plus add in throwing things on the ice after we lose various games. I can't even blame that on the students because they're blocked in by the netting (to a point).
I stand by the Mavs, hell or high water. It can be tough talking with Gophers fans who have had our number for so long, but that's not a big deal. We don't have the greatest arena, again not a big deal. But when I get lumped into the image that a few of the fans set for us, that irritates me.
FYI - I'm one of those that appreciates good hockey when I see it. When Howe was the first star of the game in the CC series, I gave him a round of applause.
Wow, didn't mean to rant, haha.
