Minnesota State captain Rylan Galiardi said that he's heading to San Antonio, Texas, on Thursday to sign with the American Hockey League's San Antonio Rampage. The Rampage are the top minor-league affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes. Galiardi attended the Coyotes' prospects camp as an undrafted invitee last summer.
"I'm really thankful to get this chance," Galiardi said.
In four seasons with the Mavericks, Galiardi played in 140 games, scoring 29 goals and assisting on 52 others for 81 points. This year he had seven goals and 12 assists in 32 games

Congrats to Rylan. Hope to watch him in the future. Hope he is just the first of many in the next few days.
Hey mavs fans lets try something different. When it comes to who is leaving and where lets just be proud of them and happy for them. This is a big time in their lives and we should help them all enjoy it. Every player moving on only helps MAV hockey.
Tyler Pitlick leaving last year helped Mav hockey?
Nation, I don't think you can tie Pitlick's early departure to highlighting the Mav program (with all due respect to the program) but more to the new economics of the hard salary cap in the NHL. Undrafted collegiate players afford teams an inexpensive option to mine new talent, albeit older talent. You can see early departures occurring all thru DI hockey, and even some DIII players. And it is more than appropriate that we, as Mav fans, congratulate players from the school moving on.

I meant helping the mavs by showing potential players they can move on to a higher level through mankato's program. It can only help with recruiting. That in the long run is great for Mav hockey
I hear you hockeyfan. Nation's point is valid. If/when Pitlick makes the show and is talked about they will say he came up in the WHL not the NCAA and MSU will likely not get a mention. Backes IS the poster. Hopefully we can have more in the future.

Agree with you crossjcek. But for the most part Pitlick has been the exception. Most guys are going to stay until Jr. Sr. yr and then move on. Plus more and more players seen to come from Jrs. and are too old to go back. Im not using Pitlick as my example rather the five seniors this yr.
