That photo is a sneak preview of my Sunday story about the changes taking place and more that are planned for the future of Minnesota State hockey at the Verizon Wireless Center. But, no, your eyes aren't deceiving you; those are indeed
purple seats. Installation of the new, properly colored chairs began to be installed this week. Officials say, by the time the Mavericks play their first exhibition game on Oct. 6, all of the arena's seats will be purple. What a difference that will make.
UPDATE: Follow this
link to Sunday's story on the current changes and future plans for the VWC.

That looks awesome. The arena isn't going to look the same. Go Mavs!!!!!
That is such a much needed upgrade! so glad it is finally getting done!!
Thank goodness. It would be an interesting piece to see what the person was thinking who ordered red and blue seats for the place to begin with. What was going through their head? Was there a sale on blue and red seats in the days before internet shopping? After researching that, you can look into what the DJ at the VWC was watching last year when they played the wrong music during the power kill.
