Minnesota State 18th in first USCHO poll
Minnesota State ended up 18th in the country in the first USCHO poll, which was released on Monday. Defending national champion Denver was overwhelmingly voted No. 1, getting all but two votes. Boston University, who hosts Minnesota State on the second weekend of the season, was No. 2. Here's the poll:

It's always nice to make it into these preseason polls but I think it's important to remember that they are pretty meaningless. I put a little more value in coaches preseason polls but remember How WCHA #1 preseason poll BGSU started their season last year? The vote of Confidence in the program is good but MNSU has to come out the gate strong because we don't have a slow start this year, SCSU and Then BU in Boston, In the words of Tallahassee from Zombieland "Time to nut up or shut up".
