Does it appear that this weekend's games against Minnesota will be the highest attended Maverick hockey games ever?

Can we expect to see R.J. Linder in action this weekend? Our defense seems so much more sound with him on the ice.

I asked this a week ago and didn't get a response so maybe you don't know but who are the Mavs recruiting either for next year or the following year?

We only have three seniors and Tyree has been scratched for most games this year.

How does this compare for other teams in the WCHA as far as how things will stack up next year?

Steven, I read your post and thought I'd step in and give you a heads up. The following website is hosted by a guy named Chris Heisenberg and he keeps track of incoming recruits for all NCAA hockey teams. He knows almost the instant these guys commit. This series couldn't of come at a worse time. All the students are on spring break and all the die hard gopher fans are buying up all the tickets. When I went to get tickets on Wednesday there were still 800 student tickets left. I just hope we can give the Mavs the advantage the deserve for getting home ice!

As for a question. Do you think Kangas will start on Friday?

My sources tell me that Kangas will indeed start Friday. Barring a 5+ goal performance by the Mavs, he'll be starting each game this weekend.

Side note: The 'U' will also be on spring break the weekend.

What are the chances Jutting gets coach of the year?

This weekend has traditionally seen lower attendance numbers conference wide.(not just Kato). Each school is on spring break I’ve been to UND, UMD, UofM, and SCSU. During the playoffs and no school had a lot of student presence. I went to UMD over Christmas break time and the student section had literally all of 25 people in it.
The school has done a terrible job promoting this game to students. It’s too bad they didn’t send out an E-mail saying what was going on. From the students I talked to they said since school is closed they plan on just showing up on game day and getting tickets.

Shane,
I have been listening to KFAN and they aren't giving the Mavericks a lot of love to make the final five. In fact I heard Puffy Dubay and Miller basically say this is the best match up that the Gophers can ask for or get.

I don't know if that is good logic, arrogance or they just plain haven't been watching the box scores or the Mavericks this winter since MSU-M beat a lot of teams that Minnesota couldn't. It will be interesting to see if the Mavericks come out and take it to Minny this weekend.

Good luck to the Mavericks I know they can do it. Jutts for Coach of the year.
