This might be a little short notice, but I've seen a few questions/comments I'd like to get to, so send in your questions tonight and tomorrow and I'll get at them Tuesday night for the last regular-season installment of You Want Answers?!
By the way, I eliminated a comment that appeared to be a link to some kind of virus or something equally strange or troubling. If anyone has seen other comments like that on other blogs or know if that is a growing problem, please let me know. It may force me to change the comments section.

Did Mankato's request for money for the new ice sheet/arena get shot down? I saw that Bemidji, Duluth and St Cloud all got money. I think UM-Crookston also got big money for a new arena.
Any chance with the better attendance at the mav's home games this year that Mankato would consider expanding the Alltel to have seats on the north end of the arena?
Can you comment on West's upcoming game with Duluth Marshall? Also, how much do the Scarlets' and Mavericks' successes benefit youth hockey in the area?
If state money for the new ice was shot down, when/how does Mankato get more and better ice in town? Without it, I can't see either the D1 Men's, Women's, or the youth programs growing significantly.
Any WCHA playoff prognostications yet?
Where do the Mavs stand in tiebreakers with relevant teams? (Wisconsin, St. Cloud, Minnesota)
Yo Scarlet Rodent - can't you read? I think it's been published like three times that MSU holds the tie breakers with both St. Cloud and Wisconsin. Not with the rodents, however. Not that they are relavent though.
Chances are the Gophers will be coming to town next week. Exact percentages can be seen here: http://www.playoffstatus.com/wchahockey/wchastandings.html
What do you think about this matchup? The team was playing poor hockey the first time they met. Is it finally time to get the Gophers monkey off our back and win a series for the first time in school history?
Sorry, that link is:

Shane,
Fix our power play, PLEASE!!
We're going to need it.
MavFan...
Don't worry about it. You'll get your Rodent pummeling soon enough.
We don't get the FishWrap dogsledded up here to the Twin Cities, so I was relegated to another posting to find out about the Mavs' tiebreaker...
any idea of who the Mav's are recruiting for the next two years?
Scarlet Rodent...
Why don't you just read the paper while you are at work at McDonalds flipping burgers? That is what the M on the gopher jersey stands for isn't it?
Any information on R.J. Linders injury during Saturday night in Colorado?
No (giggle) the 'M' doesn't stand for McDonald's. It stands for:
5 National titles
31 NCAA tournament appearances
6 Consecutive NCAA 1 seeds
12 WCHA regular season championships
14 WCHA playoff titles
8 20+ win seasons
36 First team All-Americans
11 First-round NHL draft picks
I've heard from more than one Mav fan that the one team they don't want to play next weekend is Minnesota. The Gophers have played their best hockey this year on smaller rinks.
All-time series:
26-2-4 Minnesota (2-0 this year)
I can't wait to come back to town and watch this beatdown...
(Goooooooooooo WEST!)
Gopher fans are always able to spew very impressive statistics. Given the resources that each of the programs have at hand, I don't think the Mavs have done too bad. Keep in mind in DII times, MSU was very successful.
I too was one of those fans hoping to not have to take on the rodents in the first round, but I don't think it really matters at this time of the year.
Touche!
That Mavs have always been a GREAT team to follow for the same reason that it's fun to root for the Twins ... they do very well with their 'available resources.'
I just like my 'M' and am prepared to defend it. ;-)
I was waiting for the résumé to come out from Mr. Red Gopher and you didn’t disappoint me.
I’m curious about the Gophers stat on playing their best hockey on small ice this year do you think they are going to play the games at ASA?
Small Ice: National Hockey Center, the DECC, Alltel Center, Xcel Center, maybe it we'd play some big games @ ASA we wouldn't be under .500...
I’m sorry I guess I should have asked before I got into this discussion what your definition of smaller rinks is because the four examples you gave me have nothing in common.
Hey Scarlet... Hate to break it to ya, but Alltel Center is an Olympic Sheet, just like Mariucci. So is the National Hockey Center, as I recall...
You're totally right ... I got out my media guide to check and shove it down your throat but as you said, Alltel, Mariucci and St. Cloud are all 200 x 100.
(Duluth is 190 x 85)
I get 1 out of 3.
Need a crowbar to get this foot out of my mouth...
