A Maverick signs
Minnesota State senior captain Joel Hanson inked a professional contract with the Columbia (S.C.) Inferno of the East Coast Hockey League on Thursday. Columbia is an affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Inferno's next game is today against the Augusta (Ga.) Lynx.

After glancing at the title of this post, I was hoping I wasn't going to see the name Trevor Bruess listed. As luck would have it, the name was Joel Hanson. Good for Joel and I'm certainly thrilled to see him sign a pro contract since he has no eligibility remaining as is.
