Do you think that Minnesota State should be looking for another couple of D men to add to next years roster? After the three seniors graduate that leaves Elbrecht, Mosey, Cooper, Nelson, and Heath. Zach Palmquist will be coming next year and possibly Brett Stern (I don't know the situation or plan with him). If Stern does not come next year that means the Mavericks would be at 6 D men for next year. This seems like a low number as there are always unexpected injuries to deal with throughout the season. What I am asking is are the Mavericks in pursuit of more D men to commit for the 2011-12 season? Any information on this would be appreciated. Thanks Shane.

Nation, I probably should have done a You Want Answers?!?! this week, but I'll try to do one next week before the Wisconsin series. ... I believe Palmquist and Stern are both slated to come here next season. I think the coaches are hoping that Palmquist can be a Kurt Davis-type or player. After announcing their early signings in November, Jutting said they'd likely bring in another D. I can't imagine they'd have more than eight on the roster.

I can't belive anyone from the team would be that dumb with regards to the picture. Nothing like giving info to the competition. Real Bright!!! And Shane even if you do find out or any Mavs fan finds out they keep it to themselves until after it heals. No true Mavs fan would share that info!!!!!

I do know that player played with that hand half the game Saturday. The coaches should look into this.

Shane delete last three postings. Better to just not comment on the situation.

Bighkyfan who are you to decide if a player should play? Are you a doctor? And no we are not deep enough to cover any of the top four D. Covering one shift is not the same as a whole game. So one of our players actually shows some balls and plays hurt and not to the detriment of the team and your critizing the player. Do you know how many times that player and others have played hurt? Its part of the game. The posting was on a private page and is the era we live in where everything gets posted. Guys like you never wore a sweater and are totally gutless.

After rereading your last comment Big it is clear you know who the player is yet your original post tried to act as if you didn't know. So are you just trying to make trouble for this player? There is no incident, no team rules broken. It seems you are the one out to make problems. This same player finished the game and noone but his teamates and coaches knew he was hurt. The same player played half the season last year with a high ankel sprain and bad shoulder at the same time. Yet noone knew and he like other teamates that played hurt never complained. Your bias towards wanting to see certain players play is obvious yet not based on anything but personal uneducated hockey opinion.

First, not trying to make trouble. read carefully. My comment was whoever posted the photo was fueling the fire.
You make the post about deleting your 3 posts which is what I was referring to "sweep under the rug".
Showing "balls" as you put it has nothing to do with these posting. Not a Dr, but playing with broken bones shows you are not the brightest bulb on the tree.
I have no clue who posted the photo and don't care. It was just dumb to make such an injury public. That's ALL.
I mention 3 out of 4 D who could step-up and you say bias. Shane's blog last week said the other D has played two games, so I assumed he may not be ready for DU.

Sorry you took this completely the wrong way...
