Like the Mavericks, I'm off today and Saturday, so the blog will be a little quiet over the weekend. If you're looking for a little Friday-morning reading, may I suggest you head on over to Brad Schlossman's North Dakota
coverage. He has links to all sorts of happenings around the WCHA. Enjoy the weekend.

I'm beginning to think it's a bit naive to assume MSU will be a "force to be reckoned with" in the new conference. Consider this weeks USCHO poll, 8 future WCHA teams are mentioned, between the top 20 and those receiving votes, Ferris State (6), NMU (14), LSSU (18) MTU, UAA, BGSU, Alaska, Bemidji are all accounted for... Anyone missing? Oh yes, Minnesota State.
Without significant changes, MSU can expect the same results moving forward. Time to make a stand.
Any updates on the injury front for returning players for next weeks game?
"Time to make a stand." That's the problem, they are by doing nothing. They need to get moving as noted a couple of days ago. what MSU is doing complete redefines the term - "under the radar". How about invisible, stealth like!
As long as there is complacency at the TOP, comfortable salaries, pensions and know one to answer to, nothing will change, why should it? Has a sort of Washington DC ring to it.
