Representatives from the WCHA voted to
lift the moratorium on expansion Thursday, which will allow schools to apply for membership. Undoubtedly, this means Bemidji State will make a pitch to join the league during the conference meetings this April in Florida. Minnesota State was the last school to join the league, becoming a full member in 1999. MSU athletic director
Kevin Buisman was at today's meeting, which was held in conjunction with the NCAA Convention in Washington, D.C. I'm hoping to reach him today and should have more on the blog later or in Friday's Free Press.
