It's WCHA tournament time, and No. 2 Minnesota State, the top seed in the WCHA tournament, will take on eighth-seed Lake Superior State in best-of-three series in Mankato.
The series marks the final games at the Verizon Wireless Center this season, the final home games for MSU's six seniors, including Matt Leitner, who is approaching the Mavericks' Division I-era scoring record. He and Bryce Gervais have made quite a combination all season long, with Leitner setting up Gervais for several goals.
Leitner and Gervais were two of six players honored, along with coach Mike Hastings, by the WCHA on Thursday in the league's postseason awards. Read a little more about that here.

Going around the WCHA:
Michigan Tech will play its first home playoff series in more than two decades and host Alabama Huntsville, who, like Lake Superior State, is in the postseason for the first time as a WCHA member.
Bowling Green hosts Northern Michigan, a team that swept the Falcons just a few weeks ago in Bowling Green.
Bemidji State is hosting for the first time as a WCHA school and will take on Ferris State, and the Beavers are hoping the home-rink advantage is real.
