Who's going to the X this weekend? The WCHA is dreaming about a big turnout, at least by the standards of the current league, now in its second year.
Ticket information can be found here. But the cost is $69 for all three games or $35 per day.
Minnesota State will play Ferris State in the Friday evening game at 7:30 p.m. Michigan Tech and Bowling Green play at 4 p.m. The championship game takes place at 6 p.m.
The winner will get the WCHA's automatic berth into the NCAA tournament, but it appears that Minnesota State and Michigan Tech are locks to get in. In fact, folks like Jim Dahl, who have been running the calculations, say MSU can finish no lower than second in the Pariwise, no matter what happens.
Bowling Green appears to be in good shape, too (about 72%), although a win over the Huskies on Friday — or no funny stuff in the other conferences — would be a big help.
Ferris State needs to win the Broadmoor Trophy to get into the tournament.
