MSU gets new commitment

According to various reports, including the USHL website, Minnesota State got a commitment form Des Moines Buccaneers forward J.P. Burkemper. Burkemper, 18, has played in 17 games for Des Moines this season. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound native of St. Louis has three goals and four assists in 17 games this season. After an injury to start the season, he started playing again on Nov. 19. Last season, Burkemper had six goals and 16 assists in 55 games.
