Carter hurt in "freak (hockey) accident"

The Anaheim Ducks placed ex-Maverick Ryan Carter on injured-reserve Thursday after Carter suffered a fractured right wrist in Wednesday's game against Colorado. Carter, who has four goals and eight points, got his hand caught in one of the cutouts in the glass that photographers use to shoot games. You can read more about it here.
